RECIPE: Matcha Peach Mocktail

Peach Matcha Mocktail

Tools / Necessities:

  • Blender (or hand blender)
  • Bamboo whisk (chasen)
  • Bowl (chawan)
  • 2 glasses

Ingredients (for 2 glasses):

  • 1 ripe peach (or 100 ml unsweetened peach juice)
  • 1 g Ceremonial Matcha A (≈ ½ tsp)
  • 60 ml hot water (70–80 °C / 158–176 °F)
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • ½ lime, juiced
  • Sparkling water
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Peel and pit the peach, then blend with lime juice and honey/agave. If using peach juice, simply mix it with lime juice and sweetener.
  2. Divide the peach mixture over 2 glasses filled with ice.
  3. Fill each glass about ⅔ full with sparkling water.
  4. Sift matcha into a bowl, add a little hot water, and whisk into a smooth paste. Add the remaining water and whisk until frothy.
  5. Slowly pour the matcha over the back of a spoon onto the drink to create a layered effect.
