The Matcha bamboo whisk, known in Japan as a “chasen”, is a traditional tool used to prepare Matcha tea. It is typically used together with a Matcha whisk holder, bamboo spoon, and Matcha bowl. Please note: the price does not include the whisk holder.

This handmade whisk features a fine and delicate structure, allowing you to create a smooth, creamy, and foamy Matcha by whisking.

How to use the Matcha whisk
Whisk ½ gram of Matcha with 60 ml of water (80°C) for up to 20 seconds using quick “W” motions. Avoid touching the bottom of the bowl while whisking. You may add a little extra warm water afterwards.

Care instructions
Dishwasher safe: no
Cleaning: rinse with lukewarm water immediately after use (do not use soap or hot water)
Optional: let the whisk dry on a Matcha whisk holder
